Exegesis of Philippians 2:1-11

Ethan’s Big Feel Storm

An exegetical research paper exploring the structure and theological implications of Philippians 2:1–11, with attention to Greek syntax and early Christology.

Ethan’s Big Feel Storm is a gentle, realistic story about a neurodiverse child navigating emotional storms in a busy city. Written for parents to read with children ages 7–12, it reflects everyday sensory challenges and models calming strategies through the love and learning of a supportive family. Rooted in real experience, the story offers hope and grace without promising a “happily ever after”—only the quiet presence of God in the storm.

Coco’s Tower of Troubles

Excerpts from Stillorne

Coco’s Tower of Troubles is a whimsical, rhyming tale about a young builder who discovers that true strength isn’t just in building tall towers—it’s in handling frustration, setbacks, and unexpected interruptions with patience and courage. Aimed at children ages 5–9, this story opens the door to conversations about self-control, creative problem-solving, and the joy of overcoming challenges.

Stillorne is a contemplative fantasy for readers ages 15 and up, set in a secluded valley where elves and dwarves live with the scars of an ancient war. Beneath its serene landscape lies a story of fractured trust, spiritual longing, and the quiet tension between memory and renewal. Written in a lyrical, character-driven style, Stillorne blends rich world-building with moral depth, appealing to readers who enjoy Tolkien-style fantasy with a thoughtful, faith-shaped core.

Ten Short Missions Stories from China and Taiwan

Case Study on 3+4 Church Plant Model

This collection of ten short stories features the church planting ministry of John and Alisha Walz and their family in East Asia. Through vivid snapshots of daily life, the stories reflect the challenges and joys of cross-cultural ministry, parenting, and following God in uncertain places. Written with warmth and honesty, they invite adult readers into the real-world journey of faith, highlighting God’s presence in both struggle and celebration.

This work is a field-based case study drawn from ten years of church planting experience in southern Taiwan. It documents the development and application of the 3+4 Church Planting Model, a framework built around leadership training, early ministry simplicity, and reproducible structures. Through firsthand accounts, cultural analysis, and biblical evaluation, the study examines both the successes and setbacks of multiple church plants launched during this period. The result is a practical, transparent, and Scripture-rooted guide for missionaries and church leaders seeking to establish churches that endure under local leadership.
