Writing and AI

The ideas, arguments, experiences, theological judgments, and substantive prose in my work are my own. I do not use generative AI to produce first drafts, complete articles, stories, sermons, or academic work, nor do I present AI-generated material as my original writing.

When permitted by the intended publisher, I may use AI as an editorial assistant for proofreading, and research. I evaluate every suggestion and remain responsible for every word published under my name.

Some publications maintain stricter standards. For work intended for those publications, I follow their requirements from the project’s inception through submission, including refraining from AI-assisted ideation, organization, research, or editing when required. I disclose my use of AI according to each publication’s policy and consult the editor whenever the permitted boundaries are unclear.
