Coco and the Tower of Troubles

In the land of Herostand, where adventures are made,
lived Coco, a builder who dreamed big and never strayed.
His brothers liked mining or finding baddies to fight,
but Coco liked to build long into the night.

One day, while wandering near flowers and trees,
he found a small hive and the hum of the bees.
He learned to make candles, such glow they would cast,
then fished by a stream where calm moments passed.

“I like these things,” Coco said with surprise.
“They’re peaceful and fun, and they help me feel wise.”

Then came the idea: “I’ll build something grand!
A tower that stands like a torch in the land!”
He stacked up his blocks, stone, wood, and more—
but soon they fell down with a crash to the floor.

“No fair!” Coco yelled. “This always goes bad!”
His fists got tight, and his face looked mad.
He stomped and he kicked and he shouted out loud,
but none of that helped, not even feeling proud.

He sat down alone by a tree in the shade,
remembered the candles and peace they had made.

Coco’s daddy came with a book and said:
“To build a tower highest in the land,
you must calm your anger and steady your hand.
True builders give effort, both big things and small.
Enjoy as you build, not only when you’re done.
Then, before you know, your tower is grand and tall.”

Coco took breaths and whispered a prayer,
then gathered his tools with gentle care.

This time was different.
The tower held fine.
When he made a mistake,
there was something to learn.
He did better each time,
with each lesson learned.

Coco finished his tower, tall and proud.
Then he had a new thought he whispered aloud.
He thought about things he had long ignored:
“I’m going to learn the hard stuff too.
I know I can do it, and this time is different.”

So he went to work, and his courage grew constant.
Mining with his brothers,
and fighting baddies too,
the things that seemed hard before
he learned he could do.

One day, the big bridge in Herostand crashed and fell
when the trolls ran wild through the land.
The villagers cried for help;
their carts were stuck in place.
All the other heroes were gone;
not a hero showed their face.

Coco thought for a minute,
and after a short prayer,
sprang into action
and called, “Brothers—prepare!”

“Let’s chase them back,
back to their lair!”

Then with all the ore they mined,
Coco repaired the bridge.
The villagers thanked Coco for his hard work
and cheered for him from the ridge.

Coco’s daddy came home as proud as could be,
tossed Coco in the air with a shout of pure glee.
Coco never forgot what his daddy said that day:

“I’m proud of all the things you build—
the cabin, the tower, and the bridge you made so tall.
But the thing I’m most proud of, more than them all,
is your choice not to quit, even when the road is hard.”

Coco loves his candles, fishing, and other peaceful things.
But now he knows there’s a world out there,
full of challenges waiting for those who dare.

A little more confident, a little more wise,
Coco meets each moment with joy as his prize.

Hard things are just opportunities to have fun.
With some prayer and some courage,
Coco of Herostand will finish what he has begun.
