Genesis 13

Chapter 13

Chapter 13 reveals some contention between Abraham and Lot’s men, so they decide to depart ways. After they depart God reiterates His promise towards Abraham. Perhaps God waiting for Lot to depart for Sodom before reiterating the promise again. God chose Abraham to be the receiver of this promise and no one else. Perhaps there is some ill-intention Moses is trying to communicate about Lot as well. Surely Lot would have known about the extreme wickedness of Sodom and yet he “pitched” his tent towards it.
